How to Build a Live AI Agent for Your Business Website in Under 10 Minutes
Most business owners think building an AI chatbot for their website requires a developer, a six-week timeline, and a budget that makes your accountant wince. It doesn't. With HighLevel's new AI Studio, you can spin up a fully trained, brand-aware AI agent and embed it on your live website in under 10 minutes — and you don't need to write a single line of code yourself.
This is the exact process I use to build AI agents for my own businesses. Here's the step-by-step.

Step 1: Generate Your Agent's Prompt
Open ChatGPT (or Claude — whichever you prefer) and ask it to write a prompt for an AI agent that represents your business. Something like:
"Make me a prompt for an AI agent for [your business] that can answer questions about [your products or services]."
The AI will give you a fully structured prompt. Copy it. This becomes the brain of your agent.
Step 2: Create the Agent in HighLevel AI Studio
Inside your HighLevel account, head to AI Agents and click Create from Prompt. Give your agent a clear, recognizable name — something like "[Business Name] Agent." Turn on Autopilot so it can respond to customers without manual approval on every message.
Click into Goals, select GPT-5 as the underlying model, and paste in the prompt you generated in Step 1.

Step 3: Train the Agent on Your Website
This is the step that turns a generic chatbot into something that actually knows your business. Grab your website URL and drop it into the agent training field. HighLevel will crawl your site and feed your products, services, pricing, FAQs, and brand voice directly into the agent.
Give it a minute. Once training completes, your agent knows your business cold.
Step 4: Test in the Live Sandbox
Before you put it on your website, test it. Go to Web Chat and choose All-in-One to spin up a live sandbox. Ask it the questions your actual customers ask. Push it. Try to break it. If it answers well in the sandbox, it'll answer well on your site.
Step 5: Get the Embed Code
Inside the Web Chat settings, click Get Code and copy the snippet. HighLevel gives you HTML by default — but if your website setup needs JavaScript instead, that's an easy fix.
Step 6: Convert to JavaScript (Optional)
Paste the embed code into ChatGPT and say:
"Please convert this to JavaScript."
Copy the converted version. This step only matters if your site requires JS injection — most modern sites accept the HTML snippet directly.
Step 7: Drop It Onto Your Website
Open your website in the browser, press F12 to open developer tools, and paste in the JavaScript. That's it. Your AI agent is now live, answering customer questions on your site, 24/7.
For a permanent install, you'll want to paste the embed code into your site's <head> or footer through your CMS — but for testing or quick deployment, F12 works.
Why This Matters
Business owners typically pay an agency $3,000 to $10,000 to build something like this. With HighLevel AI Studio, you describe what you want in plain English and hit publish. That's the entire shift.
I run multiple businesses, and AI agents trained on each one's website now handle the front line of customer questions for me. It's the single highest-leverage automation I've added in the last year.
